Jio-Airtel new scheme (Sociak Media)
Technology News: The country's two big telecom companies Jio and Airtel can make major changes in their data packs. Under the new model, the data will now be given not throughout the day, but according to hours. What will be the benefit or harm to consumers? Internet usage habits are constantly changing in India and telecom companies are also updating their plans accordingly. Now legendary telecom operators like Jio and Airtel are preparing to bring a new system, in which the data will be made available on the basis of hours instead of day. That is, the user will pay accordingly as much as the Internet will use.
Till now, consumers used to get fixed data plans like 1 day, 28 days, or 84 days, in which a fixed amount of data was given. But in the new system you will be able to take internet pack for 1 hour, 2 hours or 6 hours. For example, 1GB of data for 2 hours, or unlimited data packs for 6 hours. Its purpose is to woo consumers who use the Internet for a limited time, such as students, work from homes or those who are online only at the time of need.
According to media reports, both companies can start this plan as a pilot project in select cities. Its pricing will be on the basis of how much duration the user wants to use and how much quantity of data.

Loss:
To give data according to the hour, companies will have to implement real-time tracking system. As soon as the consumer starts the internet, the timer will start. The data will stop as soon as the scheduled time is over. This system is already applicable in some airport Wi-Fi services and
OTT platforms.
Jio and Airtel are continuously doing new experiments to keep customers pairs. Through this new strategy, they want to target the class which is still dependent on the small data plan or whose internet usage is limited. This plan can also become a source of additional revenue for companies.Giving data according to the hour will be a new experiment in India. While it can prove to be a very useful and affordable option for some users, it can be expensive and complicated for regular internet users. It will now be seen how telecom companies apply this model and how much customers adopt it.
